ADVICE & ASSISTANCE
Providing homeless people with support to take control and transform their own lives. They have 16 self-contained studio flats in Montfort House for very long-term rough sleepers. They offer professional and relevant advice in a variety of areas. The team engage – often late at night or very early in the morning – with those sleeping rough in Victoria every day.

THE BIG ISSUE
They offer people facing poverty and exclusion the opportunity to earn their own money; a livelihood. They aim to maximise the success of each person’s selling career and engage them with opportunities to address the issues that brought them to the organisation in the first instance or issues that have arisen as a result of their experiences of poverty, social and financial exclusion.
Their mission is to connect every Big Issue worker to the support and personal solutions that enable them to rebuild their lives and plan their own pathways to a better future.

LONDON HOUSING FOUNDATION
They help homeless people in London by providing shelter and advisory services.

They support people out of homelessness for good. They do this through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. We offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales. They help homeless people find and keep a rented home. They do this by working with landlords to ensure a supply of places to live and giving homeless people the tools and knowledge they need to rent successfully.

SINGLE HOMELESS PROJECT
This was started up in 1975 by 6 homeless people. They provide a range of support services, including 500 units of accommodation, across 21 London boroughs. They support a wide range of people of all ages: from those that need a brief intervention to help them live independently, to those who are living in chaos and need intensive support to achieve stability. They work with individuals who are in poverty, with little or no family support or support networks, who struggle with issues such as homelessness and rough sleeping, alcohol and drug addiction, mental ill-health and offending.
